iWork.com Login Fails

Problem
When trying to log into iWork.com for the first time, you get an error noting that either your Apple ID or password are incorrect

Fix
Assuming your Apple ID and password are correct, try the following steps:
  1. Open/create a document in iWork (Pages, Keynote, Numbers)
  2. Click the iWork.com button (image to right)
  3. You will receive a notification that your email address must be verified. Follow the steps to verify your email address
