In Firefox, when accessing a website that uses NTLM (pass through authentication), you are prompted for a username and password.
Fix
- In Firefox, type "about:config" in the URL address bar
- If you get a message that states "This might void your warranty", click the "I'll be careful, I promise" button.
- In the "preference name" list, double click "network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris". YOu can limit the list by typing "NTLM" in the filter bar
- In the "Enter string value" window, type the URL for the website you wish to enable NTLM authentication. Note: Separate multiple URL's with a comma i.e. http://www.test.com,www.blah.com/
- Click "OK"
