Uninstalling IE8 after installing XP Service Pack 3

Problem
After installing XP Service Pack 3, you cannot uninstall Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

Fix
Run "spuninst.exe" located at C:\WINDOWS\ie8\spuninst. By default, this folder is hidden so you will have to show hidden files and folders.

Microsoft makes note of this issue here.  As Microsoft notes, "This issue does not occur if you install Internet Explorer 7 or Internet Explorer 8 after you install Windows XP SP3."
